Do I need to choose a teaching philosophy?
No. At ages 3–6, all the best approaches — Montessori, Charlotte Mason, play-based — agree on the same foundation: children learn through play, exploration, and connection. Koala Grove is built on that shared ground. You don’t need to pick a camp before you start.

Will this prepare my child for school?

We’re a husband and wife based in Seattle — and we didn’t plan to homeschool.
When a health challenge in our family made traditional schooling complicated, we found ourselves at home, responsible for the early years of our child’s education — and quickly realized how hard it was to find something that actually worked.
Not a philosophy to figure out. Not a complicated curriculum to manage. Just a clear, practical framework we could actually use on a Tuesday morning.
